The purpose of this course is to gain a greater understanding of the U.S. and its relationship with other nations from the period following the Great Depression to today. We begin in 1931, watch the rise of Adolf Hitler, the development of WWII, examine the culture of the baby boomers and the hippy generation, U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts, examine Watergate, Reaganomics, and bring it right to America’s current position, both foreign and domestic.
