Title: Unfinished Love, Crafts
No Image Available My project is a batik I made in art class. The images on my batik are of a boy who is a skeleton, representing that he is dead. He has in his hand a ripped piece of his shirt and his heart, the red around him is a supposed to be broken, upside-down hearts. I got this idea from a doodle I previously did. The meaning to me is that he has died and was in love and is heartbroken because he can no longer be with the one he loves. My technique, in brief, was to plan my design, draw it on my fabric, and repeatedly wax and dye different sections to get my finished product. One thing everyone needs to know about batik is that it is very complicated process. The color needs to be planned precisely to get the desired outcome.
