Title: We're Not in Kansas Anymore, Crafts
We're Not in Kansas Anymore a. This is the windmill off of my family farm. I photographed it because I thought that it would make a great subject for my assignment. b. The reason I created these pictures was for an assignment in class. The assignment was to take a picture containing open composition, negative space, and contrast. c. To begin the procedure behind these photographs, I first had to load a roll of film. Then I drew a story board containing some ideas for this project. After I shot my whole roll of film I processed it and then made a contact sheet and a 5x7 print. After deciding that I liked this windmill the best I created an 11x14 print of it. Then I made another copy of it and solarized that print. I think the prints together give a feeling of uncertainty, as if a storm is approaching and you don’t know what’s going to happen.
