Making Paper
Instructor: Jennifer Kunin
Max. Registrants: 20 (17 Registered)
During this 5 hour workshop, we will explore a brief history of papermaking, materials used, how to make pulp from plant materials, and basic papermaking tools and techniques. Then we will focus on ways to use papermaking as fine art. We will use a variety of pulp manipulation techniques with color application to create color compositions, which can be abstract, landscape, portrait, or figure, etc. We will also briefly touch on textures and simple 3D casting techniques.

Students should come prepared to get their hands wet, (maybe even their feet). We will have aprons to keep the rest of us dry. Be prepared to be standing most of the time. Chairs just dont work. I look forward to meeting you all.

Stain Glass Artwork
Instructor: Shakun Maheshwari
Max. Registrants: 20 (20 Registered)
Students will design and construct small stained glass pieces that will be cast with cement for indoor or outdoor placement.

Weaving and Spinning Experiments
Instructor: Linda Canton
Max. Registrants: 15 (19 Registered)
Begin to learn the basics of basket making by making a 12X12X 5" square basket from reed, big enough for napkins, CD's, or whatever needs to be held in a pile on your dresser. You should leave class with at least one finished basket, and hopefully the desire to learn more in the future!

Water Color Techniques
Instructor: Charlene Buescher
Max. Registrants: 25 (18 Registered)
We will use a variety of interesting techniques to create your version of two unique paintings.

Exciting, juicy, happy accidents in colliding color will make a semi abstract and traditional homestead landscape. Get rich, bold, loose color and have some great fun.
