Title: A Colorful World, Crafts

This was the first year we have had a high school art teacher. I was so excited about art that I took the class twice. I then found this stool Goodwill hunting one day. It lacked originality, but knew it would be great for art. I researched ways to paint my stool. I really wanted to study abroad in Costa Rica, it didnt work out though. I believe the colors chosen reflected Spanish Art. I put intricate designs on the piece to make space and texture. I got the help of a fellow peer. He sanded it for me.
Once the process began I struggled on how to complete some of the designs. I used various tools. At the beginning of the project I had a hard time finding small enough brushes in the art room. Later the art room was supplied with a few new brushes. For the dots I used the end of an eyeliner crayon. These struggles challenged me. It made my stool evolve to what it is now. Its named A Colorful World. I am pleased with how it turned out. I may do some projects with the same qualities in the future.

Award: Excellent
