Monday:
Announcements: This is a packed week. The students are getting excited about putting their songs into the Finale computer program and hearing them played. We will be printing them off. The students are practicing diligently for our recital! All students will continue to practice guitars, choosing one folk song to perform in their groups. We plan the class period at the start and report what was accomplished at the end of class.
Tuesday:
Monday: Plan how and who is ready to place their song into Finale, who will be practicing their selections on keyboards. Five students continue to work their original compositions with an extremely steady beat so that they can directly record their songs into the Finale program.
Each group needs to state today what song they are going to do. We will examine the guitar chords needed for Deck the Halls and Jingle Bells.
Wednesday:
Students are performing for Peggy Klasse and getting their sheets checked off. We will do some large group guitar practicing today while some students work in the library on their computer printout of their song. We will also break into small groups for guitar folksong practice
Thursday:
Friday:
Today will be very similar to Wednesday. We will get tabs on everyone's "state" of their performance pieces, practice our Christmas songs, and then have computer time again. We will add drums to our Christmas songs
