Monday:
Announcements: We are taking it on the chin in this class with all the school being missed. We did not get to perform in the Pops Concert, but we are planning a recital. Below are the tasks the students need to complete for the end of quarter three. They will get a checklist this Wednesday, and it will need to be finished by Monday, March 7. Our recital days will be March 9 and March 11
Tuesday:
1. Compose a song within your keyboard playing capabilities
2. Include left hand chords
3. Be able to play both hands together.
4. Transcribe it into Finale software.
5. Print it and make an extra copy
6. Perform for the class in our recital
7. Be able to play all chords on guitar needed for our five
folksongs: "Marianne", "He's Got the Whole World", "Drunken Sailor", "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho", "Buffalo Gals"

Wednesday:
We will work diligently with everyone, especially encouraging students to get their composition worked into Finale. For students who complete the task checklist there will be the following options:
1. Create a drum part to go with your song
2. Choose a setting on a keyboard for performing your piece
3. Experiment with Orff instrument playing the chords for your song
4. Practice guitar chords to coincide with your song
5. Create a chord sequence for guitar.
6. Consider starting another composition for next quarter.
