Monday:
Fourth Quarter Major Goals:
1. Five new guitar chords and corresponding songs.
2. Students may choose to write a new song of their own.
3. For our final concert of the year the students may play their piece as a solo, or invite classmates to play as an ensemble.
4. Reinstate piano lessons based on ability.
5. All students must be able to play their third quarter composition smoothly, utilizing both hands by April 15th.
6. We are going to listen to a Beethoven symphony movement in great detail.
7. We will do some analysis of two pop tunes.
8. We will do more group drumming
9. Finish our checklist
10. Create mini songs to develop more Finale skills
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
1. Allow piano practice time for 13 students. First demonstrate and discuss how to do smooth left hand practice, and coordinating it with right hand melody
2. Balance of class will learn 2 new guitar chords. Practice some drumming and counting emphasizing playing smoothly.
3. Some students may still need some time to place song into Finale.
