Monday:
Announcements: Avon fundraiser is underway. Our goal is to clear $6,000. We also have knitted red/white WWG hats that will be for sale. Students are getting fitted for formal wear in preparation for the Veteran's Day program. Boys' 50's will be meeting on Friday mornings for the month of November; Mrs. Knott has some mandatory meetings on Thursdays. Vocal Jazz will still be Mondays, and Choralaires will be Wednesdays.
Tuesday:
Voice Skills: The choir made good progress on blend and breath energy last week. This week they will turn their attention to resonance and the anatomy of the larynx
Wednesday:
Reading Skills/Theory Skills: Do the scales and keys of the pieces being learned. Working intervals of 2nds and 3rds this week; major minor.
Thursday:
Music Analysis/Listening Skills: We have been analyzing Bell Carol of the Kings. This week we will take a closer look at form, harmony styles, rhythm patterns, and style characteristics of Good News, Calypso Noel
Friday:
Repertoire: Need to memorize Hallowed Halls of Freedom. Will work Bell Carol and Good News to their respective ends. Start Calypso Noel and Sleigh Ride. Will determine whether to do the Hallelujah Chorus or the Tribute of Carols.
