Man are we going to work on our contest selections for three days. We really have to make progress because the days will go very swiftly from here until contest on March 16th. Lux Beatissima, work each page or phrase or section in a wholistic manner; same with Whether Men Do Laugh or Weep. We will also have to do some old fashioned drilling of parts
Voice Skills: We will go back to our study guide and work on page 3, and the diagrams.
In our Four Fundamentals of Interpretation, we will continue breath articulation while emphasizing diction and underlying pulse/energized rhythms.
Analysis: Students will receive a study page for Whether Men, and on the reverse side a song analysis for Lux Beatissima.
Listening Skills: On Friday, Mrs. Knott will be attending a convention in the twin cities. The choir will do their annual listening/placement of singers in each section. Seniors will run this show with the help of section leaders. All students will be required to hand in completed papers, and each section will be required to hand in a standing arrangement with names.IaOng will be in charge of the paperwork, Maisee, Spencer, Christina, Mitchell will assist each section, with Chanel doing the mezzo sopranos.
