Monday:
Announcements: This is a big week for the choir. We have large group contest on Wednesday at Lamberton. Solos, duets, and ensemble practices need to start immediately. The trip to Chicago is in two weeks. If students are interested in FFA All State Choir, we need to get recordings submitted this week as well. Thursday night is the parent informational night for students regarding the trip to Chicago. One meeting will be in Westbrook and the other in Walnut Grove.
Tuesday:
Repertoire: We will be adding our pieces that will be performed at our spring concert in addition to our contest selections. "O Great is the Lord" by Brahms, "Sakura" a Japanese folk song, and "Over the Meadows" a Czech melody, will be joined later by a gospel tune or spiritual.
Wednesday:
Music Analysis Vocabulary Work: We will finish up the vocabulary words and concepts from last quarter and test next week.
Thursday:
Voice Skills Vocabulary Work: Finish up vocabulary and concepts related to quarter three "Creating a Beautiful Phrase" Make sure students get written materials finished for testing
Friday:
Music Theory and Reading Skills: Finish up sight reading and theory in the key of G; rounds, exercises and four part chorale
