Introduce the Basic Concepts of Government
--Ordered, Limited, Representative
Importance of documents that led to the founding of our government
--Magna Carta, Petition of Right, early Bill of Rights
Colonies--Royal, Proprietary, Charter
(Advisement)
Thursday:
Section 2--The Coming of Independence
--Britain's policies toward the colonies
--Displeasure of colonies toward these policies
--Colonists begin to band together
