Art 8B 1st Q 12.13 Lesson Plans
Week: 09/24/2012 Instructor: Tina Richards Academics
We have been working on the drawing of elephants. the elephants show shape, texture and shading.
The students are now going to draw an elephant , form the front go the packet, on large paper. I do this as a follow along drawing so that the students will have success in drawing and in size. After it is drawn in i will explain again in more detail and examples the steps to coloring the elephant. The animal itself will be done in warm colors with mostly organic shapes and the outside is to be cool colors and mostly geometric shapes.
We continue what was started on monday . as always i have some concern that the students are coloring well and following directions.
the elephant should have been done yesterday.
We can begin with what the principles of art are. And start defining them.
I will start with contrast as that is easily seen.
So here we will have an assignment in contrast.
we will finish work on contrast and move on to the principle of balance.
This is quite fun and using teaching aides is learnable.
