Monday:
This is a class that reviews and in some instances looks more in depth to the elements and principles of art. We study the art periods from baroque to modern.
The first thing we need is a book to draw in. this is created using large colored sheets 6 of them and small colored in the order from front to back 6/10/10/20/20. Each of the colored sheets divides a section. we will name them later. start and stop with a colored sheet.
clip them together.
Tuesday:
We will now stitch the book together with a japanese binding.
I will drill 7 equallly spaced holes on the binding edge and the students will stich them in small groups as i am able to handle them.
While they wait or are done they are to design a cover that will be 5 points worth.
Wednesday:
Begin by drawing.
The first drawing is one of a panda bear, i am looking for the shape, and the the use of lines in shading.
Next drawing is of a eagle and a symbol.
They will mostly have these done today. As every week they have a friday drawing worth 10 points it is no different this week we just have a thursday drawing.
Thursday:
free time for the first half of the hour to get work up to speed.
Second half notes on the element of art Line. There are 9 types of line i want the students too know. after the note i have them split a paper 4 ways with their pencil and design in 3 of the quarters and they design the 4th one themselves.
