Vocal Skills and Ensemble Skills:
Continue tone production and vowels, getting each section to sing out and unified.
Rhythmic Skills:
Start compound meter. Practice dictation writing with syncopated and dotted rhythms, also eighth/sixteenth combination sets. Identify hearing same/different, choose correct one heard. Practice reading easy patterns, do two part ensembles

Tonal Skills:
Continue work with do-re-mirm; read bass and treble patterns in 3 keys.
Add la-ti-do (minor) patterns in relative keys. Start work with major and minor pentachords (do-re-mi-f-sol) and (la-ti-do-re-mi)
Learn parts of the notes, work with rests
Use pop song themes to practice some patterns
Harmonic Skills:
Work with major and minor tonic triads. Have choir sing all the parts, and then sing them in inversions.
Continue to sing ostinato patterns with our rote songs

Repertoire:Continue using rote songs for the basis of our singing, harmonizing and analysis.

Music Analysis and Listening Analysis:
Listen for note patterns, rhythm patterns in the following pieces:
Ram Sam Sam, Down the River,When the Train Comes Along, Digger Boom, When the Train Comes Along
Interdisciplinary Applications:
Continue to write comments and answer questions in their journals relating to the daily quotes.
