Monday:
Annnouncements: Parent meeting for choir/band students about our upcoming trip: MONDAY Night at 6:30
All special groups will reconvene this week to prepare for our Chicago performances. Vocal Jazz, Choralaires, Boys' 50's, the mixed ensemble, girls' quartet, boys' ensemble, and two girls' groups will be performing as well as two duets when we are there. This will be a busy week for students going to FCCLA and preparing for the FFA state conventions. We have 7 students taking part in all state FFA choir. They will practice Tuesday a.m. and Friday a.m.at 7:30
Tuesday:
Voice Skills: We are concentrating on breath/voice efficiency, onsets with breath, tuning chords, uniform vowels, singing on top of the pitch. Musically we are working for more dynamic contrast and well developed phrasing. We will burnish the two contest numbers since we will be taking them to Chicago to perform at Vandercook College.
Wednesday:
Music: Finish learning all of the Bach. Work the men's section and the women's section of the Red Red Rose piece, work the middle section of Water is Wide, and continue learning the America piece.
Thursday:
Reading Skills:We are going to work on reading 4 part chorales in the keys of C, G, and F.
Friday:
Listening Skills /Analysis Skills: We will ask a lot of questions for self evaluation a we progress on learning our new music.
