Monday:
Announcements:Special groups as scheduled. This week we can really settle into working our Christmas Concert songs while getting into our 2nd quarter curriculum for voice skills and music reading.Students with incompletes either need to take a voice skills test (to be administered on Tuesday of this week) and/or finish their portfolio work that involved a song analysis and a song study sheet, a goal sheet and a page that lists the songs we have been learning. Those folders are due on Wednesday of this week
Tuesday:
Voice Skills: Currently working on the 5 Fundamentals for Choral Singing #1 Blend/Breath Energy while exploring the function and anatomy of the breathing process
Wednesday:
Reading Skills: We are continuing our work on subdivided beat and note reading involving more skips and starting on notes other than 'do'.
Song Analysis: We need to determine whether we can accomplish an additional piece this week.
Thursday:
Listening Analysis: We will be listening to our recording from Veteran's Day and critique ourselves. We have been dividing the choir into different groupings to listen to one another.
Friday:
Repertoire: Ding Dong Merrily On High is coming together. We will be refining it and As Lately We Watched this week. I Saw Three Ships is going well, and we have a good start on Star Carol. We will work more on Hallelujah Chorus this week.
