Finding Common Ground Essay--review basic features: informative introduction, a probing analysis, a fair and impartial presentation, a readable plan; review premise/conclusion map of paragraph 9, p. 193, problems from Friday, review "Lost Innocence": agree on health risks, disagree on who should decide to use; review "Laying Claims": agree on value of life and that torture should be argued as moral issue, and that the "ticking time bomb" scenario is rare, disagree on situational/absolute dichotomy

Read/outline "No Child Left Behind" article (201-206): what the author accomplishes with each paragraph/chunk, the big ideas; responds to first bullet (bias through word choice, p. 208 (p), sixth bullet, p. 209 (transitions)

Comparing/Contrasting--two arrangements: point by point/chunk; read 653-658, do 18.1 or 18.2, do 18.5
