Finding common ground--locate two essays on opposing sides, or close to opposing sides, of a debate related to your debatable issue; upon what specific sub-topic do the two debate, due Thursday;

note on expanding search: opinion pieces from common sources allowed, but the evidence upon which warrants are made must be made explicit; send links to the two articles in an email, meet me to discuss your selections Wednesday or Thursday;

read 214-218; create a chart using the model on 218, due Monday beginning of class

add the new annotations to the annotated bibliography, due Monday beginning of class;

select one of the articles and summarize (scope: at least 1.5 pages); include the author's claim, arguments, evidence; paraphrase effectively the biggest ideas and embed quotes appropriately; due Sunday 9:00 p.m.
