Read "Working with Sources" (225-226)

Select two paragraphs from your the articles you've recently found on your topic; paraphrase them; embed quotations if you need to/should. Include the parenthetical citation, of course, and also the works cited citation. Turn in at the beginning of class on Thursday.

Do an annotations chart for the two positions taken on your topic--due at the beginning of class on Thursday

Find an example of arguments based on the appeals, one of each type, from an article or articles in your bibliography, copy and paste the argument, explain in a sentence or sentences how it's an example of the appeal--due at the beginning of class on Thursday

Review appeals and the examples from the readings

Evidence--recall evidence types: facts/examples, statistics, anecdote, testimony from authority; analyze (list) the types of evidence offered in two of your opposing positions--due Monday at the beginning of class

Read 219-225

Contrast the two outlines (222-223) in terms of organization
