Verb tenses: avoiding the passive voice and the progressive tenses--review verb tenses; identifying progressive tenses and shifting them to regular; identifying passive voice

Event essay--review Brandt; response choices; paradox defined; possibilities--Dillard does something many times, but she writes about the time the something was different; read 22-27; read 628-638, respond to exercises 15.2 and 15.4: names and details; respond to any two of exercises 15.7 to 15.16


Thursday:
Verb tenses: avoiding passive voice and the progressive tenses--review tenses; identifying passive voice; changing passive voice to active and progressive tenses to regular

Event essay--review Dillard; which sense is easiest to write?; read 28-52: which story (Ellis or Shah) do you prefer? why: 1 page; mixing paraphrase, quotes, summary
