Narratives--the time I nearly, my scariest, best, happiest, awkwardest, sadest time; simple stories with profound results; the elements of events: the literary elements--setting, character, plot, theme, the teller; how does Dillard spin the place, what's the nature of her connection to the weasel, into what idea does she fold her events--what's the big idea, read Dillard; list three bests, happiests, most profounds and so on.


Tuesday:
Clarity--example, exercise

Commas--that set off introductory words, example, exercise

Independent Reading



Wednesday:
Narratives--discuss Dillard, the three bests; who struggles against what/whom, how's the place relate to the struggle, what is the context for the plot/the narrative pattern, what imagery do the metaphors insert, read Hannan; list three bests, happiests, most profounds; select one of the three, where's it take place, what's it like there, who's there, what's he/she/they like
