Re-write the opening paragraphs of "Leiningen Versus the Ants" to change the character Leiningen from absolutely self confident to something else.
Read "Leinigen Versus the Ants", summarize the strategies Leiningen uses to stop the ants. Bonus: draw a picture of the plantation; include compass directions.
Review subject; do exercise 12, p. 14.

Review Leiningen and the strategies he uses to defeat the ants.
Read "The Open Window"; do open book test. Write three paragraphs--one on the events of the rising tension phase, one on the event of the climactic moment, one on the denoument phase.
