Review writing exercises from Friday, ex. 1-6.
Spell/Vocab quiz: symbol, analysis, abstract, concrete, connotation, denotation, figurative language, personification, metaphor, simile, cliche, loaded language.

Read "Through the Tunnel", consider the changes the character makes, where me starts, moves, ends, and why; consider the symbolism in the story.

Good writing seminar: conciseness--no redundancy, no wordiness (empty expressions); ex. 7-8; reduction--words, phrases, clauses; review the parts of speech; phrases--prep, appositive phrases; ex. 1-7.

Read "All The Years of Her Life", consider the moments in the story that "instruct" the character.
