Tuesday:
"Brave New World"--quiz on chapter 6; culture clash: list measures of culture, what areas might produce the greatest conflict; read chapter 7, questions due Wednesday


Wednesday:
"Brave New World"--Aldous Huxley bio search--what in his life and environment leads to "Brave New World" (review the idea of the failures of the 20th Century); John's history; his interesting strategy for relating to the world: Shakespeare, and the irony in the title, which is from "The Tempest"; read chapters 8-9, list the important events from John's life; predict how John will respond to the BNW society especially considering his cultural background and his Shakespeare "filter"


Thursday:
"Brave New World"--Aldous Huxley bio search--what in his life and environment leads to "Brave New World", discussion; review chapters 8-9; the director's humiliation--read chapter 10


Friday:
"Brave New World"--John the Savage in the Brave New World, read chapter 11, questions due Monday
