Rhythm/Note Reading Practice Activities:
Emphasis on dotted rhythmic patterns
Review home tones, scale structure
3/4 meter, and 6/8 meter
Group Singing/Improvising/Accompanying Activities:
Sing, accompany with guitar and drums all the songs in Booklet Two
Hand out Booklet Three and begin reading rhythms and solfege
Music Creating: Ensemble Work and Solo Work:
Performances of the four groups. Within each group separate students take their turns as the solo performer and plays own song while the others provide accompaniment. We will ultimately showcase 18 mini compositions. The composer plays a keyboard while the rest play drum, guitar, chords on Orff, and auxiliary percussion
