Reading: We will identify and decode words with the sound of long e: e, y such as we, she, very, baby and Jimmy.
Vocabulary for House Repair/The Surprise: house, never, off, these, took, birdhouses, completing, backpack, repair, whispered,guess. tomorrow, surprised,pleased, pile, rake, lawn, messy. single.
We will draw conclusions*
Spelling: We will spell words with inflected ending -ed.
List: jumped, crossed, pulled, wished, pushed, picked
High-Frequency: house, never
Challenge: candy, shiny
Language: We will tell an oringal story in order.
We will punctuate sentences that command and exclaim with proper end marks.
Math: We will solve problems using comparison subtraction with pictures. (How many more squares than triangles are there?) We will use fact families to add and subtract numbers with sums through 12. (8+4=12,4+8=12,12-8=4,12-4=8)
Science: We will recognize that a force as something that pushes or pulls on an object to make it move. We will identify that a force is used to change the location of an object and the direction it is moving.
