Week: 11/19/2001 Instructor: Debra Berg Academics
Spelling: We will not have a spelling test. We will be studying the
concept that a single consonant sound at the end of a word may be
spelled with two consonant letters that are the same. We double the
consonant spelling for l, s, f, and z at the end of a one-syllable
word. (bell, off, dress, buzz)
Math: We will review and study the skill of rounding off to the tens
place. The number 37 will round off to 40. The number 62 would round
off to 60. Numbers ending in 1-4 round off to the lower ten. The
numbers ending in 5-9 we round up to the next ten.
Reading: We will finish our reading unit by reviewing our vocabulary and
taking a written and oral test. We will evaluate the stories we have
Science and Health: We will continue to study the body systems. We
will stress how the body parts work together.

Plymouth Plantation.
