Reading: We will read "Four Clues for Chee". Vocabulary: pours, echo, canyon, breath, fingers

We will read "Young Cam Jansen and the Dinosaur Game".
Vocabulary: amazing, musical, camera, memory, order, dinosaurs,chocolate, invitation,exact
Comprehension skill: Character traits
Language: Grammar: Correct Verb Tenses
Study skill: Parts of a Book: Table of Contents and Chapter Titles
Handwriting: Spacing letters
Math: We will subtract from 15, 16, 17, and 18.
Social Studies: The students will interview their Big Sisters. We will also talk about the alternatives to violence.

Health: We will begin with a nutrition unit with Mrs. Fest as our guest speaker.
Science: The students will identify characteristics of the sun. They will compare day and night and describe how they occur. They will describe how the earth orbits the sun and identify the causes of seasons on Earth. They will demonstrate how the reflection of the sun's light enables us to see the moon and explain how the sunlight and the moon's orbit around Earth make the moon appear to change shape.
