Spelling: We will work with words that end with the final sound in
Basic Words: puppy, baby, lucky, happy, very, lady, funny, silly, many,
only, *cookie, me bee
Challenge words: furry, noisy
Math: We will solve problems using information from charts. We will
take chapter 8 test over renaming in addition.
We will work with pints, quarts, and gallons.
We will read the degrees on a thermometer.
Reading: We will read "Animal Fact and Fiction". The vocabulary for
this story: difficult, enemy, fact, fiction, loses, sheet, ostrich,
porcupine, quill, skipper.
The students will identify main ideas and details, antonyms, suffixes
such as -ful and -less, and read words with silent letters as in know,
gnaw, and write.
English: We will continue to work with adjectives and introduce
adjectives that compare.

Handwriting: The lower-case cursive letters b, k, and f will be
Science: The students will identify tools used to measure weather and
predict the weather using different kinds of clouds as indicators of
weather change.

Social Studies: We will use maps to study the continents and introduce
the Western Hemisphere.
