Phonics: We will identify and decode words with r-controlled ear and eer. Examples: near, deer
We will use structural cues to decode words with suffix -ly.
Spelling: List-bravely, lightly, softly, friendly, slowly, weekly
High-frequency: ago, head
Challenge: cheer, clear
Reading: We will read HEAR THE CHEERS. Vocabulary: argument, compete, gear, helmet, goal, team
High-frequency words: ago, better, head, idea, still
We will read THE GREAT BALL GAME. Vocabulary: accept, argument, divided, creatures, goal, penalty, quarrel, swifter, team, loses. Comprehension skills: classifying, context clues
Math: We will continue to work with money by reviewing the value of penny, dime, and nickel. We will count these coins and introduce the quarter and half dollar and their value. We will count all these coins.

English: We will listen for sequence, work with synonyms,
adjectives, and adverbs.

Social Studies:
Health: We will continue with the nutrition unit emphasizing the vegetable and fruit unit. We will briefly review the milk and protein groups.
