Retest of home tones for 13 students
All students will do sightsinging test
Short quiz on terms and voice concepts thus far
Friday students will do a song analysis on their own
Dynamic Sound will be Wednesday and Thursday of this week
Voice Skills:
Formative assessments vocab words, resonance, blend, intonation
New concept: attacks/releases/diction
New vocabulary: attacks/onsets, releases, diction, enunciation, articulation, prepared entrance
Music Reading Skills:
Prepare for sightreading quiz, small group practicing, individuals
Work again on 2nds, 3rds
Do scale for "Let It Snow"flip side of paper
Do some rhythm practice and start cut time and 6/8
Review understanding of moveable Do, what constitutes a major interval compared to a minor interval, how sharps, flats and naturals affect a note
Music Analysis Skills:
Use form to do melody of Born, Harmony of Born, and interpretation of Born.
For doing sheet on own on Friday they will do the song Feliz Navidad
Vocabulary:walking bass, canon, stepwise -diatonic- harmony
Record ourselves with Patapan
Repertoire: Go Tell, verses, soloists, practice page 2 with syllables; learn page 3
Let it Snow, clean up the B section, practice the ending, choreography back
Patapan: energy of the rhythms, lightness in tone, movement in pulse, add flute and drum
Born Neath; work to the ending, vowels and diction, energize the phrasing
Feliz; continue sight reading
