Monday:
The students will first make a simple sculpture book to draw in. Design the cover. grade this book-20 points
I will explain sculpture as 3-D, the 4 methods, what kind we will do and the paper.
i will explain the star book and begin to teach what is needed for it.
Tuesday:
Students will work on their star book, making the cover, choosing paper for pages, cutting paper, and folding paper.
Wednesday:
More paper cutting .
Take 1/2 of the class and teach the sewing steps.
students will be gathering info on their books- basically what is the theme. This is important because we talked about sculptors having a theme for their work.
Thursday:
Teach sewing to more of the class.
Continue on with designing the book.
Friday:
Take a break from the book and show sculptures to the students. The students will draw from this presentation.
Then back to the book.
Advanced students will be looking at the art of Steve Cambrone and creating two drawings to create 1 wall piece using his concepts. Each will do their own. We will use wood for this project. Friday 20 points for how they worked.
