Hamlet--review 1st soliloquy: "a dew" unexpected coherence, canon cohering to cannon, video of 1.2: king's court, Hamlet's soliloquy; see sample summary/paraphrase/quotation of soliloquy; review list of king's insults; in character read to end of 1.2: Hamlet, Marcellus, Bernardo, Horatio; read 1, 3: questions: Whom does Laertes tell his sister Ophelia not to mess around with? Why? In your own words, what's Ophelia say in response to him? List the bits of advice Polonius has for his son Laertes as Laertes leaves? What's Polonius feel about Ophelia's love interest?
