introduction to what U.S. studies will be
class seating and rules
reading from Creative America Chapter 5. Students will not be assigned books at this time. Books will be used in the classroom and when needed for an assignment will be checked out.

Students by the end of the Semester are to know Presidents in order from Washington to Obama
Tuesday:
students will take notes from the powerpoint beginning of an American identity.
early American culture-land ownership, voting rights, role of women, schools,

Handout assignment to be completed from notes and due at the end of the chapter
Wednesday:
What were the roots of a representative government. students will understand the magna carta and it role in the type of government we have today
students will understand what parliament is and the background in the colonies
Thursday:
What was the French and Indian war. Which groups were aligned with each other and the future impact on the American colonies that this war will have.

assignment in class:
REPORTING ON THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR

Objective: By writing a news report on the French and Indian war, students will learn more about the war.
Friday:
continue with the activity from Thursday in class
