Lead writing--the lead: straight news inverted pyramid--captures reader's attention, allows the reader to decide if he/she wants to dig deeper, allows the editor to chop from the bottom up

Lead writing--the lead: do exercises 4, 5; copy and paste the scenarios into a Google doc, write the leads; eval: one sent->most to least important, no unattributed remarks, <=25 words, active voice, no unfamiliar proper nouns

News story possibilities listing; select; list what's known by "who, what, where, where, why, how" and what's not known; interview needs

Final Cut Pro X--tutorial video: library/event/project (browser window), importing video clips, mark in/out in browser, moving clips to timeline, multiple tracks, the "command z" key to undo, the tools: selection, trim, position range, razor blade, zoom, hand; the inspector window; music, photos, transitions, text; manipulating audio with rubber band/range selector; rendering concept (find video clips/upload)
