Week: 11/28/2005 Instructor: Debra Berg Academics
Math: We continue to work on money by counting sets of coins, making change, identifying dollar bill and coin and testing our knowledge of money.

We continue to review math facts for addition and subtraction with sums from 0-18.
Phonics: We will study the sounds of ou and ow as in round and how.
We continue to study endings that are added to words. Sometimes we need t double the last consonant when adding an ending.

Spelling: hugged, hugging, nodded, nodding skipped, skipping, since, those, crown, shout
Language: We will discuss figurative language---similies. We will work with verbs and review alphabetical order to the second letter.

Handwriting: F,f N, n
Reading: The Giants and Play Ball
Comprehension skill: summarizing
Vocabulary: giants, pitched, thousand, batter, gripped, bounced, been, frieds, show, since, those,advice, returned, baseball, terrible, bound, gripped, pitching, approaching, serious
Social Studies: Review playing fairly, sharing, including others in groups.
Begin unit on holiday customs. This week working on customs in the Netherlands.
Science: If time allows get back to the unit on the body and its systems...skeletal.
