Week: 02/02/2004 Instructor: Debra Berg Academics
Math: Objective: An estimate of a 2-digit number can be made by subtracting tens then ones.
We will look for number patterns also.
Phonics: We will work with words that have the all, alk, au sound. We also study those consonant combinations of kn, mb.

Spelling: We will have spelling words with silent consonants such as climb, lamb, knit, comb, kneel, knot and words with our phonics sounds of au, and al---chalk, sauce.
Reading: We will read "Paul Goes to the Ball" and "The Rosster Who Went to His Uncle's Wedding."
Comprehension skill: plot
English: We will continue to work on skills involving capitalization and superlative and comparative adjectives.

Handwrititng: The cursive letters of a, d, and c will be introduced.
Social Studies:

Science: We will continue on our earth science unit emphazing the types, qualities, uses, and conservation of soil.
