Math: We work on telling time to the five minutes. We will use words like a quarter past, a half hour past, a quarter to etc.
Phonics: Long e spelled ei: plurals such as leaf to leaves----changing the f to v and adding es.

Spelling: calves, halves, leaves, lives, shelves, wolves, road, young, ceiling, neither
Reading: Stories---"Collecting" "Puddle Pails"
Vocabulary: ceiling, collect, favorite, receive, eight, road, round, start, young,castle, collect, crocodile, diamonds, ordinary, puddle, shadows
Comprehension: context clues
Language: Writing quotation marks
Daily oral drill stressing end marks, capital letters, etc.
Multiple meaning words

Handwriting: Cursive lower-case letters p, j, t. l
Science: Make a table of the way we use water. Discuss how we use water in our daily lives.

Social Studies: Compared the arctic with antarctica. Will read about the rain forest and discuss the continent of Souh America. Will also introduce the continent of Australia.
