Title: Push Me, 2D Mixed Media/Collage
I wanted to create a self-portrait collage. I drew an image of myself on blue matte board and then decided to make my collage unique by using push pins. I used limited colors of black and white. I liked the simplicity. After sketching out my face on the matte board, I placed the matte board on cardboard. I placed pins on styrofoam painting some of them white and started pinning them. I then used black pins for my body and outlined my face structures with black paint. I decided to do this because I thought it would be fun and something unique. After a lot of hard work and several hours of working on it, I experienced pain in my fingers. It was very time consuming but it turned out well. This is one of the best projects I have ever done. Even though this took 1,050 pins it was a great outcome. I am very proud of my artwork.
