Title: Giulia, Computer-based Artwork

The intention of this artwork was to emphasize the power of reading and how it takes imagination beyond the human mind.
The model is my friend Giulia holding a book with strings of light and brush strokes coming from the pages to add the magic of reading from the book.
In the brushstrokes. there is line and movement as the strokes make the pages come alive.
In Giulias expression and the book, there is color and emphasis.
When creating this digital artwork, I considered how I could improve the effect the string lights gave off in the image with the brush in Photoshop.
I used a Canon EOS Rebel T5 to take the image, string Lights to give a glow to the image, and Adobe Photoshop CS6 to edit and draw on the artwork.
During this photoshoot, I discovered how much fun it is to capture someones personality in a picture. This was one of the first times I had a model. We had so much fun experimenting with different props, locations, and poses. I also got to explore using different Photoshop brushes to add to this image.
