Title: Goat Table, Crafts

*Making this sculpture the goal was to make something both useful in
being a table, yet still interesting in design. The design is of a goat. I raise goats and I tried to model it after my goats while keeping it modern when designing it into a table.
*Making the sculpture out of all select pine wood I ran into a lot of problems that needed solving. The neck and head took a lot of time figuring out which angles the wood needed to be cut for the sculpture to work out.
*All the wood was cut using different saws such as bandsaws, table saws, and miter saws. When the pieces of wood were cut I glued them together and sometimes put a couple nails in to solidify it.
*Ive never worked on a wood project this complex and while making it I learned a lot in how to manipulate wood, different techniques in cutting it and what it all takes to plan and make it work. Also I learned more about the art style of modernism, making everything flat and straight was more difficult than I thought it would and took a lot of planning.
